2025's Top Spooky Movie Makes a Comeback to IMAX Just in Time for the Spooky Season

Arriving just as spooky festivities begins, among the most acclaimed scary movies in a long while will have a special return to movie houses, this time exclusively in IMAX presentation.

IMAX Exclusive Run Information

The feature titled Sinners: The Tale, which is helmed by the acclaimed director, is set to be shown again in select IMAX locations beginning Oct. 30, running for a limited screening ending on November 5.

For those who watched Sinners during its first theatrical run, you're aware what a fantastic chance this is for one more viewing in a theater.

However, should your initial watch wasn’t in IMAX, this is your chance to correct that, since Sinners looks truly spectacular on a massive IMAX format.

Considering how the original theatrical run was cut short when it came to IMAX screenings, as a result of another film claiming those screens just two weeks after debut, this could actually be the initial opportunity to see the film in large format.

Skipped Sinners? It's the Opportunity!

Alternatively, perhaps you've yet to caught Sinners at all. If so, now is the moment to correct your life.

You won't find a more ideal time of year to watch a eerie feature, most notably one that elevates scary movies.

Thankfully, Coogler brings some a track record with that, previously achieving comparable work for boxing films and comic book movies.

The end result is a gripping but also deeply chilling tale featuring blood, emotional family struggles, lost love, the undead, plus the talented actor playing dual starring roles as twins known as Smoke and Stack.

Coogler's Reflections Regarding Michael B. Jordan

The team invited him to accomplish this complex thing technically, portraying two different characters, and it involved a portrayal that we needed to include the backstory that we had previously to make it work.
Observing him praised by his peers as well as others in Hollywood, I believe that would mean a lot to him.

Future Projects in Coogler's Pipeline

In the future, it seems that Sinners absolutely gave Ryan Coogler the motivation to continue working in the spooky space.

The director has earlier shared an upcoming X-Files revival in production.

Reflecting on other reasons motivates his decision to revive the classic series, he explained:

Similar to my relationship with Rocky with my dad, the show holds a special place with my mom.
My mother is everything for me — she is in attendance today — therefore, this represents a major project personally.
I want to do justice by her plus the audience. My mom has seen some of the material I developed for the project. She is excited.

One More Screening to Experience This Horror Gem

It's unclear when Coogler’s take on The X-Files will make the light of day.

At the very least, you all receive a final opportunity to see his truly incredible Sinners when it returns in IMAX theaters this Oct. 30.
