Loyal followers of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another response on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
