Ways these Broncos together with the 'play-dough' QB could halt that Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features live text of the weekend matchups via multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, audio coverage is available through select stations for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).
We're in the sixth week in the football calendar and after recent discussion about two top teams being possible championship contenders, they both lost their unbeaten records.
Striking during those contests was the number of infractions both committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter versus Denver, who play in London this Sunday.
But it proved good to observe that Denver's QB the rookie managed to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the victory 21-17.
Denver boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank number one in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that contest.
They executed the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't necessarily rushing more than four pass rushers but they could plug two linebackers in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel off the edge.
At the start of the season, it was noted on a program that Denver could be this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year well and did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?
New TE Evan Engram has excelled significantly while recent running back their rusher is a player they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide for rushing yards (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.
That shows that Denver represent a squad aiming to run first, because one can do a lot off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable down and distances.
This has helped QB the young passer, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert possess powerful arms to pass anywhere, however they lack the mobility that Nix has. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is so athletic.
His assets are his mobility, being able to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He can deliver precision throws over the middle or over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays great composure in the pocket and isn't bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.
If you consistently run the ball it consumes the clock and makes the defence to stay on the field for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defence must defend the area downfield and horizontally. It can be draining.
Nix has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and I think Payton likes that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a rookie QB that is similar to moldable clay. He can really build something up the way he desires to shape him. I think it's a special experience for the coach.
The head coach owns a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the achievements Denver are experiencing offensively is mostly down to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix helps make him what he is.
There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they good enough to face an elite team at its best? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.
Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, that's a good place to hold their division. The key to do to continue this path.
They excel at embracing their strength, which is running the ball, and this is exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
The Jets have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win any game.
Since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, the Jets are the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway through five games, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB says the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.
After this Sunday's game, Denver face a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the West.
This hinges on what version Kansas City shows up they face since Denver {beat|def
